![]() How does Open The Home work?Open The Home combines the low listing fee [$500] of a 'for-sale-by-owner' company with the full service of an experienced local Open The Home agent. We allow our sellers to post up to 25 large photos of their home, write personalized descriptions, and provide more details with our advanced feature list. View a sample Open The Home listing. When you list with Open The Home one of our licensed agents will contact you to examine local market conditions, establish the best price to list your home, compare similar homes and past sales to find pricing trends for your area, check your listing information and photos, and discuss how we handle buyer negotiations. Your agent will then provide a yard-sign (with your direct website address), and a lockbox. Additionally, we post your home in the local multiple listing service (MLS), and handle the paperwork for a flat-rate of $500. This up-front fee pays Open The Home to have an agent provide you with personal home selling advice, ensuring that your home is marketed in the most professional way and at the best possible price. Once you list, Open The Home immediately goes to work for you. We let the agents and the buyers in your area know that your home is now for sale. When a buyer makes an offer, Open The Home will notify you and provide support with your negotiations. Open The Home encourages all sellers to hire a professional photographer. Although we allow you to take and post up to 25 photos for free, the impact of professional photos is directly connected to the number of buyers who will be attracted to visit your home. Let us know if you are interested in adding professional photos to your listing. Listing with Open The Home includes:
